It’s time again for the travel linkup! This time the topic is #travelbloggerproblems! I don’t consider myself a travel blogger but I do blog about my travels. This is a personal blog after all! I love traveling especially when it’s a new location, or a sweet deal. When your someone who loves travel though, you run into some “problems” but I use that term lightly!
Always Planning The Next Trip
This is my main problem. I’m always thinking about the next trip! I have a cruise in October yet I’m already thinking about where I want to go or what I want to do next year! I blame the internet. It’s just way too easy now to hop on and find deals or price things. Plus it’s just easier in general to book these days. You can do payment plans, you can make deposits. Plus most of you know I love attending conventions and they’re happening all the time these days. I’m always looking for a new one to check out and sometimes that means you have to plan a year in advance.
Did I take enough? Did I take too many? Did I spend too much time looking through my camera (or phone) and not enough time actually enjoying the vacation? Do I have any pictures of me while on vacation? Or with my friends? Honestly, making sure I get photos of myself is probably one of the harder parts of a trip. You get so wrapped up in taking pictures of all the amazing sights that you just kind of forget to include yourself!
Putting It Into Words
Sometimes you go on amazing trip and then you just have no idea how to translate that into a blog post. Sometimes you just let the photos do the work but even then you still want to try and express just how much fun you had or the emotions you felt. Or sometimes you’re just too exhausted from the trip to even think about writing about it. I’m sure plenty of us have had those trips, where we don’t blog about it until weeks (or more) later.
Travel isn’t cheap! It takes money but it takes time as well. Sometimes I have to sit there and think about how much vacation time I have, how much I’ll earn, and then go from there when planning. Luckily we’re able to roll over hours which means I don’t have to worry about “use it or lose it” when it comes to vacation hours. But if I’m doing a big trip (like London) I really have to think about those random days off here and there and try to not take any other trips until after the big one has past.
