I’ve never been one to shy away from colorful hair. I’ve had bright red, played around with green streaks, purple, but I’ve never gone 100% colorful. Well, I got bored and made an appointment with my amazing barber/colorist last Friday and went full green! It was a very long day. I was there from about 11am to close to 6PM but in the end it was worth it. The process of bleaching it out is what took forever, which the color application being a breeze. She did a treatment as well to help heal my hair that had to sit for about 30 minutes after the bleaching. Why green? It was either that or purple and with St. Patrick’s Day coming up, the timing was perfect! Plus the green really brings out my eyes, or that’s what I’ve been told anyway! Autumn used various shades to add some dimension to the color but focused on making sure the two darker shades that I liked were more prominent. In the end I couldn’t be happier and I plan in keeping this for awhile. I’ve already ordered some Extreme Green Overtone to help keep the color vibrant. I’ve used Viral in the past but wanted to give something new a try this time around. I’ve been impressed with the reviews I’ve seen online so fingers crossed! And before anyone mentions it, I don’t have the skill or desire to try and mix color at home and try and take care of it that way. I’d rather buy something like this to use in between professional services. I wish I had the skill and patience to do it myself but I’d end up bald. Enough rambling, here are some photos of the process!
And the final look!
I can’t say enough good stuff about Autumn! She did such a fabulous job. She explained everything she was doing, and why she was doing it. As someone who knows zero about hair, I really appreciated that. The texture of my hair is obviously different now but it just needs some TLC. The plus side though is I get that volume I like! Now I just have to learn how to style it to take full advantage of all the colors!
