We had our 3rd brunch earlier this month and it was great! We had a nice turn out of about 11 ladies if I remember correctly and the location was fantastic. A few of us had issues finding parking but that’s part of city life. The theme was Edgar Allan Poe but we discussed everything from Sebastian Stan to conventions and ways we as Officers can improve GGB for our local brunchettes.
One tip they suggested and that we took to heart was trying to plan these events in advance. Even if we don’t have a theme picked out, just having a date or general weekend can be a huge help. This obviously sounds like commonsense and I can’t believe it took someone pointing that out to us! But things can get a little crazy when planning these things. That being said, we got right on it and planned our next two events. We have our Deadpool themed brunch during opening weekend which includes going to see the movie, and in March we’re teaming up with The Girls Only Comics Club for a potluck! Then we’re taking a break in April to regroup since we have a new Officer and to take a look at schedules to try and get some more brunches on the books.
If you’re interested in joining Geek Girl Brunch just visit their website! They have chapters all over the world now, and I mean that. Here are a few cities that have chapters or are looking for officers!

If you want to see who’s in need of Officers, you can find that list here. Each chapter needs at least two officers to get things going. It’s really a great time and if anyone has any questions about what goes into it, just let me know!
Are any of you officers or members of a chapter of Geek Girl Brunch?
