I almost when with a archery related pun for the title but thought I’d save you guys. The most amazing package finally arrived last week, my Hot Toys Hawkeye! I’ve been waiting months for him and he’s now all mine! Normally I take more “in the box” photos but I was too excited and just wanted to get him open and check him out. As always, the detail on this figure is amazing. You have tiny little arrow tips, zippers, sunglasses, and more! The attention to detail on his costume is amazing and the head sculpt is spot on. I even had to put his quiver together! Thankfully, it wasn’t that hard. You might have a little bit of an issue if you have longer nails but it was a piece of cake. I’ve heard that the first time around it was a bit of a pain to load, glad to see they improved on that! If you’re wondering, the arrows just snap into little spots, and the two pieces of the quiver are held together with a magnet. Then there’s a little hook on his back that you slide it on! Here are a few photos of the quiver.
The figure comes with two bows. One folds and unfolds (it’s so fucking awesome) and the other stays in one position. Along with a ton of arrows and arrow heads, you get the fancy multi-arrow launcher and a pair of arrow speed loaders that attach to his boots via magnets. There are a few hands to switch out as well.
The figure itself is beautiful. I feel the likeness is pretty spot on and as mentioned before, the little details on his costume are fantastic. He has his coat, which is more like a long vest, that you can remove to show his purple top he wears under it. The one thing that’s neat are the things about the costume you don’t really notice in the movie. Like how the back of the jacket has a little zipper in the middle. The figure is really flexible too which will make for fun poses and photos. Obviously I’m thrilled with my purchase and he’s now a highlight of my collection! The Hawkeye Marvel Sixth Scale Figure from Hot Toys is still available and can be yours for $219.99 but he should be eligible for the $20 monthly coupon code that Sideshow puts out.
What do you think? Have you added him to your collection?
