On April 29th I’ll be taking part in the Brigance Brigade 5.7K that helps raise money for ALS. The event was started by the Brigance Brigade Foundation. If you’re from the area, you know the story of O.J. Brigance but if you’re not familiar, O.J. is a member of the Baltimore Ravens staff. He started with the team as a player, and then became Director of Player Development. One day in 2007, something felt off and after seeing doctor he was diagnosed with ALS. Since then with the support of his wife, Chandra, and the Baltimore Ravens (who he still employed with) the Brigance Brigade Foundation has done what it can to help others in the ALS community. If you’d like to learn more about them, check out their website!
At the moment my current goal is only $200! If you’d like to donate you can just click here! This is only my 2nd 5K and I’m pretty excited about it. Plus it helps that it raises money for a great cause. The Foundation has set a total goal of $60,000 and I’ve love to be able to help them reach it.
