I know, I’m pretty late on this. I wasn’t sure I was actually going to do any for the month. Then I saw everyone else doing their lists and I figured what the hell. This month, it’s all going to be health related. My health isn’t horrible but I’m lazy. I have no issue admitting this. It’s the truth. Especially during the cold winter months. I do want to drop a few pounds, and I know I can do it if I focus. But I just want to feel better too. I always feel great after the gym. I feel more alert and refreshed. So let’s get to the goals!
1. Drink More Water/Less Soda
It’s hard man! I’m not a coffee drinker (most of the time) which means my morning drink of choice is a soda. I know it’s just empty calories though and isn’t good for the body. I’ve picked up some flavor drops for water and grabbed some Bai to keep at work to help fight the soda urges.
2. The Gym
I’m not setting an exact goal. I just need to get there. My office building has a free gym, which means I have no excuse for not going. If I make it once next week, great. If I can make it three times, even better! I just need to get there and get to it.
3. Eat Better
I haven’t had much fast food lately which is great. This is a goal that helps both the waist line and the wallet. I’m actually a huge fan of Healthy Choice Steamers and grabbed a few for work. I just need to figure out a snack to go with them. I might start bringing taters to work too. Doesn’t get much easier than a baked tater!
And that’s it. They’re all very simple but doable. That’s the entire point of small goals! I think too often we have a habit of setting ourselves up for failure. Then we stop making goals altogether. Then nothing changes!
