I know, two beauty related reviews! What is happening here?! I first heard about this Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water on XOVain. Even though I’m not super into make up, I love reading about it and seeing all the different looks others come up with. Of course they talk about more than just make up. They feature posts about skin care and other beauty related topics. I’m someone who has super picky skin. It’s a bit sensitive and it really doesn’t take much to set it off. Plus it’s very much a combination between oily and dry in spots. Add into that the fact that I’m lazy with my skincare, I was looking for something simple, that didn’t upset the fine balance, but still did the job. I find most cleansers to be way too drying and they often leave my face feeling tight, which isn’t fun. It then will get itchy and blah! But guess what? This one doesn’t! It’s fantastic. Here’s the description:
This All-in-1 cleanser is surprisingly powerful yet gentle to skin. It effectively removes makeup, cleanses skin and refreshes. A multi-purpose cleanser that contains Micellar technology. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without harsh rubbing, leaving skin perfectly clean, hydrated and refreshed without over-drying.
I can agree with everything above. I don’t have to scrub my face. I simply wet a cotton round, wipe my face, and bam. It leaves my skin feeling nice and clean but without that awful dry feeling. Plus you don’t have to rinse anything else off. It makes it great for travel or those of us who are just lazy or in a rush. Plus at between $6.99-$8.99, it’s a great deal. It’s a very large bottle (13.5 oz) which means you’ll get plenty of use out of it. Now, there are two types. The one that’s pink, and the other that’s blue. The blue is supposed to take off waterproof makeup, including mascara. I’ve only used the pink but I’ve read that the waterproof formula has given some users issues. I just wanted to put that out there! I’ve had zero issues with the normal version. I’ve been using it for over a week now and I’ve noticed my redness seems to be down, and I haven’t had any breakouts. I honestly have no idea how this voodoo works, but it does! So if you’re someone like me who has picky skin, and maybe you’re looking for something new, or a way to slim line your routine, you might want to check this out.
