Over the Valentine’s Day weekend Geek Girl Brunch Baltimore headed out for Mexican and Deadpool! Even though the weather was freezing (seriously, it hurt my face) we had our largest turn out yet of around 15 wonderful ladies! Since it was Valentine’s weekend, we gave everyone a beautiful red carnation, and a box of candy hearts. I think everyone loved the little surprise! We had a swag bag filled with awesome prizes that we raffled off as well. Our waitress was on point! There were a few issues but she quickly fixed them and had a smile the entire time. Since we had extra candy and flowers we gave her one of each before we left. She really appreciated it. I’d like to think we made her busy day a little brighter! I tell you what made my day brighter though, this sangria!
After chowing down, we still had time to kill before the movie. I wandered off to Ulta to look around even though I was just there the weekend before. Hey, you never know what’s going to be restocked ya know? Plus thanks to one of the brunchettes I learned some stuff about a new brand Ulta is carrying and how it’s a good dupe for the Naked pallets. I’m not super into make up but I like learning how to save money on it. After that I went to Barnes & Noble to poke around a bit. They really need to get their comics section in order. It was such a hot mess. They had Sex Criminals mixed in with Secret Wars and I was just like, what? It use to be really organized but now it’s just all over the place. It’s great that they’re carrying more but come on. You got to make it easier for us to find things!
By then it was movie time and we actually had to stand in a line that was in the lobby. I’ve only had to do that at midnight openings! It was crazy, but in a good way. I think it was sold out too. If it wasn’t, it was really close to it. This was my 2nd time seeing the movie and I loved it even more. I honestly can’t wait to see it again. I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie where everyone laughed so much!
And that was that. When the movie we all parted ways, excited about the next GGB Baltimore event that’s happening next month. We’re doing a pot luck! I can’t wait!
