If you follow along on Twitter, you’ve probably seen me mention it before but yes, I have a spreadsheet that I put together for my Hot Toys. It helps me keep track of what I have and I “spiced” it up with some formulas as well. Honestly, it’s really simple and easy and if you’re someone who’s getting into collecting or maybe already have a growing stash, you might find this helpful or fun!
I told you, very simple but it does everything I need it to do. I keep track of how much I paid, the amount of reward points I earned, what the average price is on Ebay, and what the difference is between that and what I paid. I have no plans to sell any of my figures but you never know what might happen. Here’s the formula I used for the difference category:
I’m not an Excel wiz, I found it via an online search! How I get the Ebay numbers is pretty simple too. I just do a search and add up a few of the auctions, then get the average. So, if I counted up 6 auctions, I’d add them altogether and then divide it by 6 to get the number I use. It’s not the most exact way but it works for me. Again, all really easy to do!
I know some people have really complicated sheets for their Hot Toys but I don’t need anything like that. Of course it’s depressing to see how much I’ve spent on them! But it’s fun to see what I won or saved money on via coupons or using reward points.
Do any of you have systems to keep track of any of your figures or toys? Maybe something for all those Pops you own? Let me know!
Oh and guess what? Sideshow now offers gift cards! You can have them send you an actual gift card or you can have it delivered via email to the person you’re gifting it to! I’ve purchased one already and it was super easy to do! If you have a collector in your life you might want to consider buying them one of these beauties.
