Over the weekend I drove out to Chicago with Deidre to visit Manda and Melinda and to check out Walker Stalker Con to meet Stephen Amell from “Arrow.” I won’t get into the details of the trip right now or even the convention. Instead I present you with this:
Yes. That is me, riding on the back of Oliver Queen. The original idea that Melinda came up with with playing an awesome game of Cards Against Humanity was that I would give Stephen a piggyback ride. Yes, there might have been booze involved when that idea popped into her head. We all laughed about it but I agreed it would be pretty awesome. Then we arrive at the convention and Manda keeps saying she’s going to tell him that I want a ride from him. Well, wouldn’t you know it, she ended up in line before me during the photo op and this is what then happened according to the BFF:
S: Hi, nice meeting you.
A: Yeah, again.
S: (look puzzled)
A: Yeah, we got your autograph earlier today.
A: So, see that next girl in line? (S looks at you)
A: She really wants a piggyback ride.
S: Alright! I can do that.
As I walk away I see him get down on one knee and hear him say “Hop on…”
I wish there was a photo of me while waiting in line because I was mumbling “Don’t you do it Manda!” and he was staring at me which is like looking into the eyes of a God or something. When I went up for my turn he says to me “I heard you want a piggyback ride” and then the rest is history. Everyone in line was cracking up and someone said “I want that photo op.” His cousin, Robbie Amell, was there too sitting at a table and he was laughing the loudest.
When we went back to get our photos (which is another story) we looked to see if anyone else did one or anything close and nope! Even though I wouldn’t be surprised if after we happened, if everyone was told OK, obviously no piggyback rides. We were told no kissing or real hugs (o_O) but no one said anything about riding on his back! Which is very strong. As you can imagine.
Oh and I had Emily and Stephen sign my Olicity shirt as well.
And yes I was wearing it when they signed it. Emily said it was the first shirt she ever signed! She is ADORABLE in person. I just wanted to put her in my pocket and carry her around.
So, how was your weekend?
