Does anyone else out there use MyFitnessPal? I actually signed up last year and used it for a bit but then faded. Imagine that, right? I just started back up though and I’m determined to keep up with it this time. If you don’t know what MyFitnessPal is, it’s a website to help you track your exercise, food intake and more. It’s a nice little community. You enter in some basic information like height and weight and how much you’d like to lose. It’ll take the information and let you know how many calories a day you should be eating in order to lose weight. It’s pretty simple to use and it seems that a ton of different foods are listed. If it’s not, you can simply add it. I actually think the food list needs to be cleaned up a bit but it’s not a huge deal. There’s an exercise list too and again, if you don’t see something listed (like a certain Wii Fit option) you can add it. There’s an App as well that’s free to use! Anytime you update either location (website or App) everything syncs up. It’s pretty awesome. Along with tracking yourself, there’s a community message board where you find support, tips and even recipes. I haven’t checked it out too much but everyone seems nice so far. If you’re looking for that extra push to get yourself in gear, maybe check it out!
On Thursday I went to Xpose Fitness with a friend for a workout. What’s Xpose Fitness? It’s easy really. The best way to explain it is to call it Stripperobics. They offer two different types of classes. They have “floor/chair” and then of course “pole” classes. I’ve actually been a few times for different things. I’ve had two parties and attended classes once or twice. The best part is you don’t have to sign a contract. You can pay per class or you can get a “Class Card” which will help you save a few bucks if you go enough. I normally do the “Floor/Chair” class and it’s a workout! It’s 50 minutes of yoga, stretching, Pilates, dance and even some strength. I’ll never forget how I felt after the first time. My abs were killing me and I thought I was going to die. The nice thing is that each class is a little different too depending on the teacher. It’s a full body workout though! It’s great because you don’t even pay attention to what time it is. You’re having so much fun the time actually flies by!
I’m actually thinking of getting a Class Card when I get paid. I want to try and go twice a week, probably Tuesday & Thursday. I think it’ll be a nice and fun way to mix up my workout routine. The Wii Fit is getting kind of boring to be honest. I’m still using it but you can only do the same games so many times before you get bored and tired of them.
What type of workouts do you do? Anyone do any fun classes? What about MyFitnessPal?
