This week has been extra busy at work because of meetings that we’re having at our Corporate office. We have offices all over the country, actually the world. Believe it or not we have an office in Guam! This week some of them have flown in for a big meeting which means picking people up from airport, taking them to dinner, copying large amounts of documents and other things that a large meeting would require.
A few weeks ago (I think two?) I made a doctors appointment to see a specialist. He only does consultations on Tuesdays and Thursdays and today was the earliest he could see me. I knew the meetings would be during the same time but I’m not going to push back an appointment about my health because my company does things ass backwards. I told my boss as soon as I made the appointment and have been reminding him pretty much daily. I made sure that I told him every day this week because I know how he is. This morning I event sent a reminder email to him and a few other people! Imagine that, this morning he stops by to ask if I can help him drive people downtown to dinner tonight. I thought I was going to snap but I calmly reminded him that I can’t because I need to leave early for my doctors appointment. I honestly don’t know how he could forget seeing how I’ve told him everyday!
I shouldn’t be surprised since he forgets shit all the time but really? I think the last time I mentioned it yesterday was around 6pm. How can you forget that over night? I mean, come on! I’m already nervous enough about this appointment without worrying about things at work.
