It was revealed the other day that Mondo would be releasing a limited poster for the movie “Drive.” Isn’t it awesome looking? Mondo is known for making some pretty kick ass posters and prints. That being said, they are in very high demand when it comes to certain items.
Mondo announced this morning that the posters were up. I knew they were only $45 and I wanted one. Do I need it? No. But I wanted it. As soon as the link was sent out, I clicked it and found that they were already sold out. Yes, 445 posters were already sold out. I’m pissed. I wouldn’t care if I knew fans had bought these posters but I knew damn well that they would end up on Ebay and guess what? I’m right. Even though the posters won’t ship for 2-3 weeks, they are already listed on Ebay. The lowest was $79 with no bids but some were listed at over $150. Seriously? I’d like to own this, but not for that much. One auction had a “Or Best Offer” option. I should submit an offer of $45 and explain that’s what how much it was listed for during the original sale and because of assholes like them I missed out getting it.
This would’ve been my second Mondo piece. I received an awesome Captain America movie poster while waiting in line at San Diego Comic Con. I believe it’s the last poster or the one above it. I haven’t even unwrapped it yet because I don’t want it to get messed up. I’m not even sure where it is exactly which means when I get home I’ll look for it or it’ll drive me nuts.
Have you tried to buy anything only to find out it sold in record time?
